Meet the Governing Board

Joe Bridy

  • Joe is Partner and Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Hamlin Capital Management in New York. He is a 1998 graduate of Bucknell University and holds an MBA in Finance with High Distinction from Cornell University. Joe is also a trustee of Berea College and a member of the Geisinger Health Board of Directors.

Denise Chaykun Weaver

  • Denise is a serial entrepreneur, including roles as the co-founder of Magical Mystery Tours—an innovative travel firm lauded by Oprah Magazine, The New York Times, and Vogue and as executive director of Mission First Operations, which has deep experience in nonprofit governance and operations. She is a 2004 graduate of Bucknell University. Denise lives in suburban Philadelphia with her husband, Joe and their children.

Matt Gabler

  • Matt is the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Forest Products Association and serves as Secretary of the General Staff for the 28th Infantry Division in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Matt spent 12 years as a Pennsylvania state representative for the 75th District in Elk and Clearfield Counties. He served six terms in office before announcing he would not seek re-election in 2020. Matt graduated from Bucknell in 2006 and he and his wife, Lisa, have two children.

Susan J. Crawford

  • Susan is a senior federal judge, who served for over 30 years in the justice system, including roles as the Convening Authority and Director of the Office of Military Commissions, and as Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. She is a 1969 Bucknell graduate and earned her J.D. cum laude at the New England School of Law. A former Chair of the Board of Trustees of Bucknell University, she currently serves as an Emerita Trustee at her alma mater. She is a Guide for Blind Skiers and has two Labrador Retrievers, both of whom are certified therapy dogs with Therapy Dogs International.

Allison Kasic

  • Allison is Vice President at the Charles Koch Foundation, overseeing a national portfolio of grants to strategic partners. Previously, she served on a team at the Charles Koch Foundation that funded academic programs at colleges and universities. Allison is a 2005 graduate of Bucknell University, with a bison tattoo to prove it. She lives in Northern Virginia with her wife, Laura.
